Now that the Harry Potter movies are all wrapped up, Daniel Radcliffe's real-life quest to distinguish himself from his onscreen personality begins. And what better way to prove he has a sense of humor beyond wizard and muggle jokes than by gamely playing along with a few of them on Saturday Night Live?

The 22-year-old actor will be showing up to host SNL on January 14th, just in time to promote his upcoming horror movie The Woman in Black. For those curious, the musical guest will be "Video Games" singer Lana Del Rey.

Radcliffe will be the first Harry Potter star to host the sketch comedy show. Perhaps his recent stretch on Broadway helped him pick up the gig. He's been starring in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying since March, but his run ends January 1st, just in time to start his SNL rehearsals.
