Sonakshi Takes Place On Jacqueline In Race 2

19:30
Recently we came to knew that the beautiful ‘Murder 2’ girl Jacqueline Fernandez lost her pivotal role in Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish 2, as a female lead opposite Hrithik Roshan, apparently to refuse lock lips with Hrithik. However, now as per the sources the actress has already been presented one more just as attractive character, which was at first open to Sonakshi Sinha, in ‘Race 2’, produced by Ramesh Turani and directed by Abbas-Mustan.
Jacqueline Fernandez and Sonakshi Sinha
A close source to the production unit revealed that the director and producer together came to knew that Jacqueline is been now out of Krrish 2, and so they right away got in touch with the actress to propose her an important role in their movie Race 2. Further added that Sonakshi was at first brought on the project for the same position, but as she quoted the date problems as a motive to opt out, the makers were in hunt of a substitute, and therefore Jacqueline Fernandez has been roped in to portray her part.
The movie as well stars Deepika Padukone, Ameesha Patel, Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor and John Abraham in lead roles. Confirming the news Ramesh Turani said that they had indeed signed the actress Jacqueline in position of Sonakshi. He further added that they would commence the shooting of it from November 2011.

IPaulf you are wondering why the local Crosswords suddenly has stocks of a rather blandly named movie, whose DVD cover is plainer white, and has the faces of two almost unknown actors, we have the reason why, right here.
Paul is about two slackers who are comic book aficionados, and give up their life’s savings to visit a comic con. Here, they have the time of their lives, and they meet several of the icons of comic book world. They also visit many of the thematic bars, and even some other interesting fans. After having their fill of adventure, they decide to head back home, only to find out that they have an actual alien in their trailer, and they now are part of a big adventure, and an even bigger conspiracy – that has been bungling along for more than fifty years.
Paul is many movies for many people. Some might think that it is an underdog, feel good movie. Others will even see aspects of redemption and final justice in it, while yet others will just go on with the movie because they love the refreshing way that an alien is depicted and caricatured in the movie. The Paul alien is not someone with a stiff upper lip, or someone who doesn’t quite know what the third rock from the sun is. Our Paul, the alien here, is one of the most well read, intelligent, yet streetsmart kid who has some supernatural powers, and wants to use them for the right reason – and actually ends up doing so.
Paul Wallpaper
Paul is a very good movie, and it gives a nod to several of the conspiracy theories that surround the aliens, and the way the governments, specially the US government has handled the aliens. The movie also takes into consideration the very best of sci fi and alien movies made in the seventies and the eighties, and one of the most prominent faces of sci fi and alien movies makes an appearance at the end of the movie a laudable effort.
It stars Simon Pegg, who is slowly but surely becoming the face of shoestring but entirely enjoyable cinema, along with Nick Frost, and the voice for Paul is given by Seth Rogen. This movie is so good that you might just forgive Rogen for his take on the Green Hornet in the big budget movie.
Paul Wallpaper Paul Wallpaper
What work for the movie are the elaborate caste, and the eclectic portrayals from the cast, right from Simon Peggs, Nick Frost and even Kirsten Wigg in a small, but very essential role for the movie.
The characterizations in the movie are another mainstay of Paul. There is no clichéd character in the movie. In fact, Paul does away with all the clichés that we have ever come across, either in movies or the alien and sci fi movies. The fat guy is not obese, the thin guy is not someone who can miraculously jump over fences and stuff – basically, this one is about two everyday guys who come across something entirely extraordinary – and is an adventurous tale of how they solve an issue that they, and only they have ever faced in their life.
Of course, Seth Rogen as Paul, the alien makes the movie much more watchable. Another thing that works for the movie is the camaraderie between Simon and Nick, and they play the roles of washed out comic book fans who suddenly become all ‘growed’ up with alarming ease. It is the ease of these actors that makes another audacious movie not just passable, but also one of the best DVDs that we can buy at the moment.

The concept is definitely good, the script adds to the aura, and the in jokes about Steven Spielberg, and the various nods to his work are definitely a go-go.
The storyline is definitely a unique one for a scifi/conspiracy/alien movie, and the screenplay is one of the most interesting one that we have gone through in recent times – and we are not even discussing Bollywood here. Here are only talking about Hollywood.
Paul Wallpaper
The movie has won numerous accolades from the gentry as well as the critics. It has also won some awards. For us, the movie is the best entertainer that we have on DVD for this month, and we would definitely suggest that you lay your hands on the DVD, because this one is soon beginning to gain a cult following.
If you are wondering why we did not tell you the name of the actor who makes a cameo in the movie, well, there are actually two, who are well known for their roles in sci-fi movies, but we will not break the suspense by telling you their names, instead, you should just go ahead and buy the DVD for this movie, which is fast gaining popularity and even a cult status.

Bipash or Nargis to lip-lock with Hrithik in Krrish sequel

19:26
Ever from the time when it was officially launched, the sequel to the 2006 runaway success Krrish has faced an exceptional barrier in the shape of the movie’s lady opponent.
At first, Chitrangada Singh was brought on the project to star next to Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra in the movie. But, the actress, who was not in high spirits with her role in the movie choose to move out and therefore, Jacqueline Fernandez was proposed for the desirable part. But in view of the fact that Jacqueline was reluctant to lock her lips with Hrithik in the movie, she too lost out on the position. Now according to the grapevine, the makers of the movie, who are back to zero, have currently offered the gorgeous Rockstar’s leading actress, Nargis Fakhri.
One of the close source from the production unit revealed that the filmmaker Rakesh Roshan had watched a few portions of Rockstar and was really amazed by Nargis performances, and thus, the maker met her to chat about becoming a part of the project.
Nargis Fakhri, Hrithik Roshan, Bipasha Basu
The source stated that during the meet Nargis actually appreciated the script and was looking as everything will fall in its place now and on the other side Rakesh Roshan too was thinking that he ultimately discovered his female antagonist for the movie.
As per sources, the producer gives the impression that he thinks Nargis would be an appropriate for the character. Further adds that the role is actually bold and Nargis doesn’t have any reservations in relation to wearing a two-piece or performing any intimate scenes with Hrithik. Her persona suits the personality of the character entirely and this is precisely what Jacqueline was made-up to do but refused to carry out, added the source.
Bearing in mind that the movie’s lady opponent has been replaced twice, the source publicized that the makers have already thought out of their backing plan, if at all Nargis decides not in favour of doing the movie. The source says that the filming of the movie Krrish sequel would be start from the next month or so, and if Nargis is not confirmed for the position, Rakesh has thought out to propose it to Bipasha Basu.
Well let’s see who wins the race and who will be seen in a very bold role opposite Hrithik Roshan in his most ambitious home production movie.

The Man From Earth Dvd Review

19:24
  • Genre: Science Fiction/Conspiracy Theory
  • Directed by: Richard Schenkman
  • Produced by: Emerson Bixby, Eric D. Wilkinson, Richard Schenkman
  • Written by: Jerome Bixby
  • Starring: David Lee Smith, John Billingsley, Tony Todd
  • Music by: Mark Hinton Stewart
  • Distributed by: Anchor Bay Entertainment, Shoreline Entertainment
The Man from EarthThere are conspiracy movies and then there are conspiracy movies. The Man from Earth is the latter one. The Man from Earth is our first this new series, because this movie is definitely one of the most unique movies to have hit the screens – simply because it never hit the screens. If you are thinking about how we can pick a movie that never hit the theaters in our DVD pick, read on to know more.
The Man from Earth begins like any small budget, little known movie with no big names attached, and quite frankly the production values even makes one think that the movie was planned somewhere in the nineties, but was finally released in the double ohs. But when we go through the story, we are nothing less than flabbergasted at the way the movie just blasts through the various religious information that most of us are told are unshakable truths.
The movie begins with a man calling his friends to his house for a final goodbye, and these friends of him are reputed intellectuals who are quite popular in their fields and professions. One is a doctor, another is a scientist, yet another is just a very knowledgeable one, so on and so forth.  Yet, when they all come together, they are quite surprised when their dear friend tells them that he is an immortal, who has been several people in several lifetimes. He says that he has been most of the religious characters and that he has been through several lifetimes, seen various deaths and massacres, so on and so forth.
The Man from Earth Wallapper The Man from Earth Wallapper
For the more inclined, the main character in the movie says that he survived through the Cro Magnon age, and has not aged since the past fourteen thousand years – a claim that many of his intellectual friends find hard to believe, but at the end of it all have no option but to accept what the man says.
Of course, as is wont to happen, his friends do not believe the man in the beginning, and even before believing, they start ridiculing him. It is only later in the day that they begin to believe him and start questioning everything that they have been fed about religion and all the other information that they have about the world.
The movie is our DVD pick because of the audacity of the plot, which is finely balanced, in such a way that at least the lay moviegoer like us did not find any loopholes. This is one of the few movies that not just questions the beliefs of the audience, but also answers them on their behalf, and makes life all the more difficult for the lay believer.
The Man from Earth Wallapper
The actors are lesser known, and the direction and even the production values are nothing to speak much of. In fact, the producers of the movie on gone on record saying that they dipped in their own pockets to finance the movie, but the gamble paid off, because most of them got plum posts in some other movies, and well – they made money one way or the other.
The best part of the success of this movie that it did not have a wide release, and is something known as ‘straight-to-video’ movie. The producers of the movie have also said that if all the people who praised the movie would have actually bought the movie, the cost of the movie would have been recovered, and they would be happier.
We still do not know whether they took nameless actors for the movie because they wanted the audience to concentrate on the script, or just because they did not have the money to do so. Whatever be the case, it was interesting to see a movie that did not believe in the ‘superstar-blockbuster’ concept, and made a movie that was intelligent, interesting, and questioned everything that the audience knew ever as the truth.
The Man from Earth Wallapper The Man from Earth Wallapper
The movie is also buoyed because of the performance of the main actors. The way they perform their characters are worthy of any of the clump of performance awards that are being given out for the big ticket movies.  The other part that makes the movie a worthwhile watch is the screenplay. Normally, in a big idea concept, the screenplay is not that interesting, and there are also chances that the screenplay may just get lazy and the writer may decide to piggyback on the big ticket concept of the movie, but here, every dialogue, even nuance and every sequence takes the script of the movie ahead, making The Man from Earth one of the best screenplay and editing in recent times.
This is the last work of Jerome Bixby, a well-known and almost revere science fiction writer. He wrote the script with the help of his son on his deathbed, and the script was then given to a director to make on a $200,000 budget.
The movie never made a wide release, but is available via Amazon.

Rowdy Rathore Poster
And the other one is ‘Rowdy Rathore’ under the banner of Sanjay Leela Bhansali Films and UTV Motion Pictures. It is being directed by the very versatile actor-choreographer-director Prabhu Deva, who has made him smash debut in Bollywood by directing Salman Khan starrer ‘Wanted’. Akshay Kumar will be pairing opposite the gorgeous Dabangg lady Sonakshi Sinha.
Check out the exclusive second look of the film, where the overall appearance gives you the impression of some 80’s or 90’s kind of movie poster made by some normal paint, with Akshay Kumar punching towards the screen in his sturdy moustache look along with a small stick or beedi in his mouth. The tagline is as well sounds catchy with ‘Faulaad ki Aulaad’ and ‘Akshay Kumar in and as ROWDY RATHORE’. The film is slated to release in theatres from June 15, 2012.
