Dareness Great Lady Amber Miller's Baby Has Leg Up on Competition

Labels: ,

Amber Miller, a runner in the Chicago Marathon, was 39 weeks pregnant and expecting her second child before she broke free from the starting line on Sunday.
And after battling through contractions to persevere past the finish line, Miller gave birth to baby girl June Sunday night.
Running while pregnant? No big deal. Running through contractions? Pssh, piece of cake.
Miller told WGN-Channel 9 from her bed at Central DuPage Hospital, via The Chicago Tribune, "It wasn't too bad, you know? I have been running all the way up until this point anyway, so I'm kind of used to it."

Will June run a marathon in her lifetime?

Miller may have finished the Chicago Marathon in six hours, 25 minutes and 50 seconds—more than four hours after Kenyan winner Moses Mosop set the marathon's record—but you can't question this woman's heart and determination.
In fact, June appears to have long distance running coursing through her veins already. I'm surprised little June isn't training for a marathon as we speak.
Born at 10:29 p.m. and weighing seven pounds, 13 ounces, June has a leg up on the competition and plenty of time to train for her first marathon.
Even Mosop, who has had a spectacular year, must be looking over his shoulder. Forget breaking world records. Mosop must be worrying about the never-say-die attitude Miller has instilled in June.
Watch out, America. A newborn baby already has a completed marathon to her name.
