They have fairytale weddings that most of us would assume will live up to the happily ever after ending. Yet, a startling number of Hollywood stars have had marriages that have gone kaput in a matter of months or even days. Here are a few.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries: Her divorce is being touted a publicity stunt by many, but nonetheless reality star Kim Kardashian insists she married for love. The 31-year-old who had millions tune in as she recorded her wedding to 26-year-old Kris Humphries, revealed that she rushed into the whole marriage and filed for divorce barely
72 days after saying I do.

Britney Spears and Jason Alexander: Pop sensation Britney Spears marriage to her childhood friend Jason in 2004 lasted exactly 55 hours. The duo walked down the aisle in a Las Vegas chapel dressed in jeans and a baseball cap. No prizes for guessing but she soon realised her hasty mistake and ended the marriage.

Jennifer Lopez and Chris Judd: Jennifer definitely doesn't have much luck when it comes to being married. The singer's second hubby Chris was a back-up dancer for one of her music videos. They married in October 2001 and split up seven months later.

Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chase: The Bridget Jones Diary star hooked up with musician Kenny and the couple tied the knot in a small, private wedding in the Virgin Islands in May 2005. It was the first marriage for both but in September that year Renee filed for an annulment. Their marriage lasted a total of four months!

Drew Barrymore and Jeremy Thomas: The Charlie's Angels star got married at the tender age of 19 to bar owner Jeremy Thomas. She was definitely not lucky in love as the couple split up barely six weeks later.

Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock: They appeared to be madly in love but Pamela Anderson who got hitched to singer Kid Rock in 2006 parted ways after just five months together. The two had a romantic wedding on a yacht near St Tropez, France only to end in irreconcilable differences.
