And now the two might be seen in a sequel to Anand Rai’s much appreciated movie Tanu Weds Manu, where Kangna will be playing her usual character as Tanu, and Shahid will be replacing Madhavan as Manu from the original movie.
Tanu Weds Manu, a movie that became one of the most unexpected hits of the year, didn’t just helped the director Anand Rai to make the foremost hit of his profession, but as well assited lead actors Kangna Ranaut and Madhavan catch their foremost major solo hits. Conversely for the sequel, unlike other filmmakers, director Anand Rai is in no frame of mind to attach to his endearing cast. Reportedly, Shahid Kapoor may possibly be the one romancing Kangna in the venture. Madhavan, who enacted Manu in the movie, will be no longer a division of the follow-up.
A source close to the director said that Anand Rai made his directorial debut with the movie called ‘Strangers’ a few years back, and in spite of constructive reviews, the movie failed to create a score at the box-office. He has offered the actor an option to work in either of the movies, Tanu Weds Manu sequel or Ranjhana, or if possible both. Sources said that the victory of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ has been credited primarily to Kangna’s character, and therefore Rai clearly wishes to save her in the movie. However as he desires a better-quality movie, he has offered an A-list actor Shahid Kapoor.

When contacted Anand Rai, he said that currently he is in the procedure of settling down the scripts of his two movies. However confirms that he is meeting actors but as well says that it is too early to pronounce who will be in either movie.
