The popular Parsi theatre actor Boman Irani who gained immense stardom for his acting in films like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S and later on, Lage Raho Munnabhai, recently threw a lavish party. The occasion was the wedding of his son Danesh and the media was well agog at the gala event. Who’s who of Bollywood had gathered there to attend the wedding feast of the son of this actor who did a splendid and memorable role in the movie, 3 Idiots.
Among those who attended the wedding were Fardeen Khan with his wife Natasha, actor Arjun Rampal with his wife Mehr Jessia Rampal, Aamir Khan with his wife Kiran Rao and his son Junaid, Cyrus Broacha with his better half Ayeesha. Pregnant Lara Dutt was also present at the glitterati carnival. Zarine Khan came with Farah Khan Ali at the event. Simi ‘Rendezvous with Simi’ Garewal also graced the gathering with her glamour and presence. Veteran celluloid legends like Shabana Azmi along with younger talents like Tara Sharma were spotted among those present at the gathering. Konkona Sen came with her hubby Ranbir Shorey , but minus their son. Preeti Janghiani came with her spouse Praveen Dabbas. Ameesha Patel, Juhi Chawla, Reteish Deshmukh, Chunkey Pandey with his wife Bhavna, Shreya Ghosal, Imran Khan with wife Avantika Malik were others who were present at this occasion. The selective screen actress Tabu and Shartrunghan Sinha’s daughter, the teenage raving icon, Sonakshi, were also present. Dilip Kumar widely considered to be the greatest living actor of Hindi cinema, present with his wife Saira Banu who had charmed audiences across the globe with her launching career in Hindi films, Junglee opposite Shammi Kapoor.

Irani’s mentor Alyque Padamsee was either conspicuous by his absence or had not been spotted by the media papparazi.  Padamsee, a fellow Parsi, is a veteran theatre actor known for playing the role of Mohammed ALI Jinnah in Richard Attenborough’s classic film Gandhi.
