The engagement function will take place at Domakonda Fort (Kota) at Nizamabad, according to sources. Reports said that the bride’s family has already given a colorful face lift to the fort to make the event memorable.

The engagement function of Tollywood star Ram Charan Teja and Upasana Kamineni is likely to take place at Doma Konda Gadi, known as Kota, of Nizamabad district. However, when exactly the engagement function will be held is not yet clear.

Upasana’s paternal grandfather and former IAS officer Mr Kamineni Umapathi Rao belongs to the erstwhile princely family of the Doma Konda. His son Mr Anil, an archery specialist, married Sobhana Reddy, third daughter of the Apollo Hospital founder Dr PC Reddy and Upasana is their eldest daughter. She is classmate of Cherry in her childhood school days in Chennai.
Mr Umapathi Rao ordered a facelift to their estate in the Kota with a view to conduct the engagement function of his grand daughter there, according to sources. It is said that mega star Chiranjeevi family too agreed to perform the engagement formalities there.

Every year, on some festive occasion, the family members of Umapathi Rao would camp at their estates in Kota for a minimum period of two days and witness a series of cultural programs.Sources said this year also this formality will take place and Umapathi Rao has decided to perform the engagement ceremony during the festivities.
